Why We Are Not a Wedding Doggy

Daycare Crèche!

We often get asked if we can look after multiple dogs on the day of a wedding, as many guests plan to bring their furry friends along too!

Here’s why we focus on caring for up to two small/medium dogs or 1 large breed per nanny!

Our Purpose and Approach

Wedding Day Dog Nanny was established with a clear purpose: to support the couple's dog on their special day. Our role encompasses helping the dog during the ceremony, assisting with ring-bearing duties, capturing stunning photos, and greeting guests. Before the ceremony, we help the dog acclimate to the new environment, which includes exposure to flowers, decorations, music, and the general hustle and bustle of the event

Once the wedding duties are complete, we continue to care for the dog into the evening. This includes walking, toileting, feeding, and providing lots of cuddles to ensure they remain relaxed and happy. For some dogs, settling in can be a significant challenge that requires dedicated attention and effort

Why We Limit the Number of Dogs

Managing multiple dogs from different households at a wedding venue presents numerous challenges:

  1. Safety Concerns: Venues typically lack the necessary safety features to accommodate multiple dogs securely. Without the ability to separate dogs if needed, the environment becomes unsafe

  2. Supervision Issues: Walking areas are often shared with guests, making it impractical and unsafe to walk multiple dogs on leads simultaneously. Leaving dogs unsupervised in accommodation is not an option due to potential risks to both the dogs and the property

  3. Stress Management: It's difficult to monitor multiple dogs for signs of distress. Anxious dogs can create a hazardous environment for both our nannies and the other dogs. Our priority is to ensure a calm, safe atmosphere for everyone involved

The Challenges of Multiple Dogs

Caring for multiple dogs from different households in an unfamiliar setting is not feasible. The environment can be overwhelming, and we wouldn’t be able to adequately support all their needs. Our commitment is to provide exceptional care to the couple's dogs, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and happy throughout the day.

In conclusion, our approach is designed to prioritise the well-being of your dog, allowing you to enjoy your wedding day with peace of mind, knowing they are in capable hands. Thank you for understanding why we are not a wedding doggy daycare crèche but rather dedicated nannies committed to the care of your beloved pets
