Real Wedding: Kanya, Skye & Archie at Lusty Glaze Beach, Cornwall

🐾 Real Wedding: Kanya, Skye & Archie at Lusty Glaze Beach, Cornwall

A paws-itively perfect beach wedding at Lusty Glaze in Cornwall featuring three VIP pups

Our first wedding of the 2025 season was at the incredible Lusty Glaze Beach — and what a way to start!

This amazing venue has it all… the views, the gorgeous staff, and a relaxed vibe, but with just the right amount of organisation and support — not just for the couple and their guests, but for us suppliers too. We honestly couldn’t ask for more.

The day started with a walk down the 120-something steps to paradise… and on this particular morning (after a whole week of sunshine!), it decided to absolutely chuck it down! But even with the rain, I was buzzing to be kicking off the season.

Rewind to the Wedding Fair…

A year ago, I’d met Tony and Sarah at the Lusty Glaze Wedding Fair. Kanya (their gorgeous spaniel) was a rather soggy dog at the time after enjoying a splash in the water. She’s an energetic girl who lives for the sea!

As we chatted about their big day (booked for a year ahead — which always feels like forever, until it isn’t!), they decided to go ahead and book our services. Cue my happy dance 💃 Not just because we were getting paid to do a job we love, but because it meant I knew these lovely pups would have a dedicated nanny to make sure they were safe, happy, and looked after throughout the day.

With the contract signed and non-refundable booking fee sorted, their date was officially in the diary! Around 10 weeks before the wedding, I sent over the booking forms for the dogs and arranged a video call to go through all the details — timings, what role the dogs would play, and all their likes and dislikes.

Back to the Big Day…

Walking down the steps with some of the guests, everyone was ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the view — and honestly, it still takes my breath away too!

I went off to find Sarah to say hello and drop off my backpack full of doggy essentials (and, of course, my lunch!).

I stopped to say hi to the team and met the lovely photographer, Debs, who was already hard at work while Sarah was getting her hair and makeup done. I caught up with Naomi too (we’re always early enough for a quick catch-up 😉).

Next, I headed off to find Tony and the stars of the show — Kanya, Skye and adorable Yorkie, Archie. I had a lovely chat with Grandad, who was looking after two of the dogs, and once we’d gone over their routines, it was time to find K, who was having the absolute time of her life saying hi to all the guests.

Once everyone was safely secured, we headed down to the beach… just as the heavens opened again! Thankfully, the dogs had been to the loo and were cleaned up, so we made our way to the other accommodation to get out of the rain and prep for K's big ceremony moments!

With calming music for dogs playing in the background (thank you, YouTube!), they all settled down for a little snooze.

When the accommodation was clear, we popped K into the ceremony room (She was very familiar and happy in there!), then headed back to help the rest of the pack settle in. I made sure they had water and a bit of background noise (TV on always helps), and then we waited for K to return.

K was an absolute star for the photos (we cannot wait to see the pro pics from DebsAlexander!)

Rain, Reunions & Final Walks

The rest of the day and evening were spent walking the dogs on the beach (once the rain finally gave us a break!), feeding, toileting, and of course — cuddles!

The wedding party made the most of the dry spell and had some outdoor photos before heading back in to get the party started.

Before I left, I always like to tidy up — no one wants to come back to a mess after a magical day! I gave the dogs one last walk and then popped into the party to say goodbye.

The pups were so excited to see their pawrents and had some lovely tail-wagging reunions before being handed over to Grandad and Grandma from 10pm as they were heading off soon.

Saying my goodbyes to Sarah and Tony, I tackled the dreaded climb back up the steps. With no view to stop and pretend I was taking photos of (it was after 10pm and pitch black!), I puffed my way to the top and made my way home!

The Morning After…

The next morning, I sent over all the behind-the-scenes photos and videos I’d taken throughout the day via WhatsApp and congratulated the happy couple again

They were so pleased with our service and left us a wonderful 5-star review on our Google page 🐾

Thank you for such a wonderful day
